I have been making images for over twenty years in the US, Europe, South America, Central America, and China. Some of my favorite images were made in my neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Five years ago I went to Traditional Chinese Medical school. This journey into Eastern thought had a profound influence on my photography. Taoism forms the theoretical basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and nature, balance, and simplicity are its main hallmarks. I try to achieve those elements in my images.
All images were made using traditional film and cameras (Leica, Hasselblad, Nikon). My latest body of work is a series of 18x24 Giclee prints made on high quality watercolor paper with archival inks.
